I started Fuchs Travels after a winter workshop in Lofoten. Planning that trip meant a dozen tabs: tour pages, aurora forecasts, ferry times, forum threads about where to stand at sunrise. I wanted one place that answered the questions photographers actually ask before they book. So I built it.

Here is what you’ll find today.

Photography tours from operators we trust. Fuchs Travels lists tours run by independent photo-tour operators. They lead the trip, handle the logistics and know the ground. We make it easy to compare departures, itineraries and prices side by side, and to ask the operator a question before you commit. Our first partner is Aerial Media, whose drone and landscape trips include New Zealand’s South Island and Morocco. Browse tours.

When to go. Light, weather and crowds change everything. The seasons planner shows what each month is good for in a destination, so you can pick dates around the aurora, the fall colour or the quiet shoulder season.

Where to stand. Photo spots maps thousands of photography locations worldwide, with sun and moon position, weather and links to local drone rules.

Guides and articles. Starting today we’re publishing destination guides and how-to articles. The first ones:

More will follow every week, all in one place. Follow us on Instagram to see each one as it lands.

For tour operators. If you run photography trips, you can list your tours with us and take deposits and balances through your own Stripe account. List your tours.

That’s the start. If there’s a destination you want a guide for, or a tool you wish existed, tell me. I read every message.
