Add text to a photo — covers, titles and story graphics

A photograph carries the moment; a few well-set words tell people why it matters. This tool lays editorial type over your own picture — a YouTube thumbnail title, a story cover, a quote card, a destination label — with the same Playfair, Outfit and Inter typefaces the rest of the site is set in. Choose a flat scrim, banner or strip that keeps the words legible on a busy image, drag each line exactly where it belongs, and stack up to three text layers for a title, a subtitle and a credit.

Reframe the photo to the shape you are posting into before you type: leave it at its original crop, or cover-crop it to 4:5 for an Instagram feed post, 1:1 for a square, 9:16 for a story or reel, or 16:9 for a YouTube thumbnail. The caption is drawn onto the full-resolution frame, so the file you download is the file you saw — no upscaling, no watermark, no sign-in. On JPEG exports your camera EXIF and copyright ride along untouched, with an optional switch to strip GPS before you share.

Everything happens in your browser. The photograph is read straight off your device, composited on a local canvas, and handed back as a download — nothing is uploaded and no account is created. Use it to add a headline to a travel photo, caption a screenshot, or set a clean editorial title over a landscape.
